A short time ago, I blogged about how playing video games can make you an interactive badass.
The problem with this approach is that video games cost on average
$49.99 and up. What's a strapped creative to do? Well there's this thing
called Steam and it's awesome. Now, Steam has been around for a while
and I've heard of it but never used it until this weekend. Life
changing.
Here's the deal. Steam allows you to download games
right to your computer without having to go to a store. If your computer
dies, no problem, just go to your online library and download it again.
Visiting a friend and want to play your games on their PC? Download and
go. Amazing. The price of games varies. New games are still at their
premium price of $49.99 but older games are cheap, cheap, cheap. Plus
there are sales on all the time.
Here are the games I mentioned
in my previous post and Steam's price for them:
Borderlands: $10.19
Crysis:
$29.99
World of Warcraft: Not available
F.E.A.R.:
$9.99
That's over $200 worth of games brand new for fifty
bucks. Awesome.
Check it out. Especially if you're laid up
after surgery and need to kill some time.

I think video games are great with hand eye coordination especially flying games. They are suppose to help pilots with flyiing.
